19.12.2019: World Cup in Engelberg - Kofler wins the Competition

Andreas Kofler from Austria is the Winner of the third World Cup Competition in Engelberg. He did jumps on 127 and 135 metres an won in Front of his Teammate Thomas Morgenstern and the Polnish Jupmper Adam Malysz.

Report will follow

Statements of the Top 3:

Andreas Kofler (AUT): “I had a score to settle here, but I didn’t take too much risk. It was difficult today, but it was fun. And if it works at the end it doesn’t matter if you have tailwind. Now I want to relax and recharge my batteries. I’m looking forward a lot to the 4-Hills-Tournament. I already won this title and so I can start the Tournament relaxed. I have a very good feeling.”

Thomas Morgenstern (AUT): “The weekend was sensational, exhausting, but very successful. It was a difficult first round but still we jumped on a very high level. In the second round I attacked again and had lot of fun. It’s nice to be on top in the World Cup. It’s nice that Kofi is right behind me and today he was just a little bitter than me. I’m looking forward to travel to Oberstdorf as the favorite. Now I will spend time with my family and hopefully then I can continue jumping that well in Oberstdorf.”

Adam Malysz (POL): “The first round was very difficult. In the second round it still wasn’t easy, but better. I had to fight in my final jump. I’m very satisfied with the third place. Kofler and Morgenstern are the favorites for the 4-Hills-Tournament, but I have the chance to compete with them. For that I have to continue jumping on a high level. The audience here was great, this is a ski jumping family, very pleasant and unbelievably nice.”
