15.08.2010: SGP in Einsiedeln: Ito wins in olny one Round
Malysz is also the winner of the 3 Nations Grand Prix which includes the Competitions in Hinterzarten, Courchevel and Einsiedeln. Ito is in Leading Position of the Summer Grand Prix Standing.
Statements of the Top 3:
Daiki Ito (JPN): "It was very windy today, so the competition was maybe not completely fair and I’m glad that the second round was cancelled. Of course I’m very happy and I’ll train more in the future and do my best also next time. I will take part in the competitions in Wisla and Hakuba and then I’ll stay in Japan to get prepared for the winter.”
Adam Malysz (POL): “The competition was very difficult because it was so windy. Maybe there was even more wind than yesterday when the qualification was cancelled. I’m satisfied with the second place because my two jumps yesterday were not that good. The jump in the competition today was not one of my best, but still pretty good.”
Maciej Kot (POL): “It’s great for me to be here. That was the first podium finish of my career and I also won the qualification. That’s why it was a very good day for me.”
The next two Competitions will be held Wisla, the hometown of Adam Malysz.
Maciej Kot from Poland won the Qualification for the SGP Competition in Einsiedeln. He jumped 112,5 metres and won in Front of Emmanuel Chedal from France who did a jump on 106 metres. Kot’s Teammate Stefan Hula is rakned third with 110,5 metres.
The Group of the best 10 Athletes of the SGP Standing was not able to do a jump, because of the bad weather Conditions.
This was the Training:
The Austrian Thomas Morgenstern won the first of the two Round of Training for the SGP in Einsiedeln. He jumped 109,5 metres and won this Round in Front of Simon Ammann from Switzerland (112 metres) and the Norwegian Johan Remen Evensen (109,5 metres).
